I found it an absolute struggle to get through the majority of this book. A lot of the points on how to care or be direct felt very outdated. There was a short section on personal space that was so weirdly written and I think it was a product of the time too but it felt awkward to read. I think there were some great points in here to use, specifically how they explored meeting structures, hiring, mentoring & firing, and gave lots of good resources. But I felt that until the last few chapters of the book a lot of this information was personal experiences(and a whole of of name drops) to go with almost every anecdote. I know there is an updated version of this book, but I have a hard time fully subscribing to this ideology as a people leader myself when one of the most notorious leader figures of Silicon Valley is listed as having zero personal bias. I think it’s a good book to pick up for people who are trying to find tools for their tool box, but I would just suggest maybe going to their website they plugged several times, or just Google Radical Candor and see what you find.
