Generally enjoyed it, but found a lot of the twists fairly glaring.

I loved this. Slow burn horror. Deals with Peri menopause, women's issues/societal norms and is dark with a few twists.

WOW WOW WOW. Easiest 5 star rating I’ve given in a while. This was weird and sick and twisted but sometimes funny (shout out Aunt Nadine!) and brilliant in all the right ways. There are so many male authors who try to write in female voices and something always feels off about it - Nat Cassidy is the exception to that rule. I would read a thousand books from Mary’s perspective.

Wow! I was not expecting the book to turn out the way it did when I first started reading. I'm also so surprised that a man wrote this story; I just thought they had a male narrator reading the foreword at the beginning of the audiobook. I think Nat did a great job with constructing this horror story. I also appreciated the forward and afterword with his thoughts.

I'm not perimenopausal yet, but I'm not far off. Mary resonated with me because I saw myself in her (
besides the murdering part lol
).

Susan Bennett did a phenomenal job at narrating. It gave the story more feelings and life.

I really can't believe I actually liked Aunt Nadine at the end.
