It was not for me.  I thought it would be more of a history of wacky legal trials, but instead it seemed to be more about animals attacking humans, which I didn't want to read.

Love me some Mary Roach. One thing I did not consider was that this book would obviously cover animals killing humans and the investigations around them. Luckily the book starts there and gets lighter as it goes on.

I'm trying to remember the last time a book, especially a non-fiction book, had me in stitches from the first page. I kept handing it off to my husband to read various paragraphs I'd just finished so I had someone to share my laughter with. 

I've enjoyed previous books by Mary Roach like Packing for Mars and so I had a good idea that I'd also like Fuzz but I hadn't expected to be so thoroughly entertained. From bears done for breaking and entering to monkey mayhem in the streets of India, this book does a fantastic job of highlighting the humour in animal-human conflict while taking the time to explore the effects of human habitation on our natural world. As I'm sure you might have suspected, we're usually ultimately the ones at fault...

All in all, Fuzz is a quick-witted and thought provoking read that I thoroughly recommend if you want to learn, and laugh, a lot. 

Fuzz was my first Mary Roach book, and it's an interesting look at animals who break human laws. I found that the writing was very much aimed at fiction readers, and was much more pop than science. I also found the emphasis on how to kill various "problem" animals unnecessary and would have like far more history than the book gave. 

While it was not a bad read, I was struggling to feel like I wanted to continue reading.
