Pros: fun, easy, decent smut, there’s a close sisterhood which is nice.
Cons (gotta list em):
1. “Chick” is used frequently to refer to women. Hate it.
2. There’s a side character who essentially does community outreach. After she was present in a low-income area while guns were fired, she reacts with grief and worry for the people who live there. Her family acts like that’s insane and that she’s naive, unrealistic, etc. It’s fucking gross.
3. Controversial take but I’m tired of stories about white characters wielding magic set in NOLA. There is already magic in that city and it is *in spite* of white people. Nothing about the story was central to New Orleans or LA, and there was only a single Black character in the whole thing - and she was a side character, of course. Showed up on like 2-4 pages.
Overall - read it if you can avoid paying for it and just want something simple and fun. It’s not worth paying for, in my opinion.

Here's the thing...
I was never into witches, werewolves, and other paranormal characters.
I read this book solely on my friend's recommendation.
But what I didn't know is that I needed this cute, heartwarming, love story between a witch and a werewolf filled with great banter.
What got me the most was how easy it was to read and how much I laughed while reading it. I have to say Alfa is Mateo`s Venom :)
Have in mind that this book should be read as a fun paranormal romcom and not as a story with a heavy character or a plot development.
While the plot was not much there and it was mostly focused on the love relationship between Mateo and Evie I really didn't mind the lack of it. The world-building was set up nicely for growing with the next books in the series, we got introduced to all of the sisters and the future love interest for each of them, so I am looking forward to reading the rest to the series :)

In the world of Stay a Spell, there are several kinds of supernatural beings, with their own political systems. Mateo, a werewolf, is in trouble and it seems only a group of witches will be able to help him. This is how he meets Evie and her sisters.
I enjoyed this book. It is sexy, funny, exciting and some more sexy.
Even without the sexy bits, the story would do very well. The characters are interesting and creative, and so is their setting. I'm looking forward to reading more of this series.

I really enjoyed this book. I love all the witchy vibes and the characters were all endearing. It’s a little too slow though, so I rated it only 4 stars.
Can’t wait to start the next book in the series!

This was such a cute read! I've had it on my tbr for a while but randomly decided to finally pick it up and I love the writing and the characters. Super cute! It felt like a contemporary romance almost but set in a fantasy-ish world! I loved it!

wow
I did not see that ending coming. It blows my mind with that out of left field plot twist. I would have never figured it out.
Mateo is struggling. He is hexed and his wolf cannot escape. He really needs someone to remove the hex before something terrible happens. Mateo requests the help of Evie the hex breaker witch. There is one problem it’s against the rules to help werewolves.
This story was an amazing read. It was a unique and interesting read. The characters are intriguing and strong willed. It has romance and danger. The book was hard to put down and was steady throughout. The author took her time care a cool world of humans and paranormals in the coolest place, Nee Orleans.
The heat level is off the charts good and I thought Mateo and his wolf were sexy and very talented. I highly recommend this book for those who love paranormal romance with a does of mysterious who done it. Can’t wait to read more from this series.

Why has it taken me so long to start this series? Seriously, why?
I recently received Walking in a Witchy Wonderland, a short anthology of novellas for this series, and absolutely devoured it. After reading it, I knew I needed to make this series a priority in my tbr and a few days later, I picked up Wolf Gone Wild with no regrets! It's amazing.
If you're a fan of Kresley Cole, I think you'll enjoy this series! It feels familiar and almost like being a part of the family in that it's based in New Orleans, centers around a cast of paranormal species (witches, vampires, werewolves, and grim reapers), and is full of fun adventures, romance and mysteries with a touch of lighthearted comedy. But that's where the similarities end, so don't worry, you will get a really captivating, fresh story to sink your teeth into.
Wolf Gone Wild focuses on one of the Savoie sisters and ultimate hex-breaker (Evie) and a werewolf (Mateo) burdened with a dark magic spell put upon him. Mateo and Evie team up to uncover who's trying to hurt him and his wolf, and along the way discover friendship, love and acceptance.
I honestly can't rave about this series enough and I'm currently trying to decide if my patience is strong enough to wait for a physical copy of book 2, or if I should just buy the ebook. Either way, I highly recommend this series to anyone wanting a fun paranormal romance that will have you feeling like part of the Savoie family!
