This had a really promising start but descended quickly into snark, cruelty and toxicity. Miles and Emily are just so mean to each other! The corporate CEO intrigue is either forgotten and unresolved, or unsatisfyingly sorted out thanks to a lucky chance encounter. Don’t waste your time on this one, there are better romances to read.

This was my first TL Swan book and potentially my last. I’m really confused by the high rating.

It started out ok but I nearly DNF’d this as the characters were immature and got annoying pretty quickly. They spent most of the time arguing and making up and their relationship seemed pretty superficial. I had to take a break after the camping scene.

I liked Jameson at first, until the end where he basically stalked her for a week and then gave her a time limit to make a decision on their relationship. His proposal was trash, especially for a billionaire, even if she wanted something cheesy.

I liked her sass in the beginning but she got pretty desperate in the end and that was off putting. She gave in way too easily in my opinion. But she also shouldn’t have lied, we all knew that was going to end badly.

The best part of this book were the friendships, which were ride or die instantly which was weird but I still enjoyed it.

I kept hearing about how funny this was so I gave it a try. I got to Chapter 9. There’s a lot of sex, a lot of “foreplay” a lot of talking about sex…but not one laugh to be found….I was mostly done when she referred to them as “sexual soulmates”

I haven't laughed so hard reading a romance in a long time. I read it at night and had to hold back my laughter so as not to wake my partner sleeping next to me. Emily is everything Jameson needed but didn't want. She takes him out of his comfort zone, but at the same time keeps him on his toes all the time. She's not afraid to tell him "no," which is an unexpected change in his life. Many scenes are so funny that I'd gladly read more about Jameson's adventures in unfamiliar territory. Even riding a bus is a new experience for him 😁 I haven't laughed so hard in a long time.

This book was way too long. At first, I liked how Emily challenged Jameson, but it got old fast. They were just fighting the whole time. The breakup went on for too many chapters, and the make-up-fake-out was pouring salt into the wound.

loved it

Ohhh!!! What a wonderful story. It was so full of laughs, heartache and love. It was a twisted tale of deception that kept me on the edge of my seat. I absolutely loved Jameson and his “fxxx bunny!” There was loads of craziness and loads of tears.

I’m not going to lie, I was mad quite a bit throughout the book. Jameson could really be a jerk. Sometimes you just want to punch him in the face. But then the ending, oh so sweet.

Are you looking for a rush? Then this book is up your alley.
