Legal Affairs

I can't quit reading these books by Aiden Bates! The writing is so well done and the characters are so strong. If you haven't read any of his books, you need to check them out!

Too much exposition, found neither of the main characters particularly likeable, and almost DNF'd the book a third of the way through. I did finish it, though, and the second half was a little more engaging, but I still found myself skipping paragraphs because I was bored.

This book hit a soft spot because it took place in my dad's hometown. I wasn't quite as familiar with some of the places mentioned since my family is more from the southern and western parts of the city. One thing I would like to point out is that there isn't a "Johnstown Community Hospital" that I am aware of. The main hospital for everything, even pregnancies, is "Conemaugh".

Lots of miscommunication and interfering families. I didn’t like either Adam’s or Ryan’s family. I liked Julia and Daniel Murray as well as Adam and Ryan themselves, to a degree. Sex was lackluster but I liked the courtroom drama. Yet another book where Omegas are at bottom of society with less options than women. This is my first book by this author but I think it may be my last.

Adam was a dickwad and did not redeem himself. His mother had an illogical change of heart.
