This is an exceptional second in series book. The story begins right where we left off in book 1. Wild's crew really makes this book shine. These characters are so well written. They have a way of sucking you into the book as if you are really there.

The twists and turns make this book amazing.
Just when more clues are given to help solve some puzzles, other mystery keeps piling on.
You don't truly know who Wild can trust. Not even the members of her team.
You never know what kind of trouble Wild will get herself into next, but you love to see how she gets herself out!
Every time you think things are going up they fly down.

I love the adventure of it all! 5 stars.

3.5 stars…

Really not a fan of all those “guys don’t *insert perceived feminine action*” comments. I get it, I do. She’s undercover and falling back on gender stereotypes and conventions to blend in, but that doesn’t mean I have to like it. People don’t have to behave in a particular way based on their gender, and it would be a massive dick move to invalidate someone’s gender/gender-identity because their mannerisms and personality don’t coincide with all of society’s fallacies. Actually, invalidating someone’s gender/gender-identify is a dick move, regardless.

Maybe by the time I read the rest of the books I will be prepared for the cliffhanger ending!

Maybe not.

I’m totally looking forward to testing the theory.

In this installment, the crew went through the second and third trials. It is fun to see the characters developing through the books. I’m loving the vivid magical descriptions - honestly - the whole thing with the alicorns was insanely satisfying for me!

Another amazing book!

I’ve said it before but I’ll say it again. I absolutely love this series. This was a great book and I’m so excited to read the third in this series.
