It was perfectly fine I just didn't really care about the characters at all, I guess. The multiple POV was nice though.

I loved the single-chapter for single-character format of this book. Each character gets a single chapter - no more, no less. However, there is a significant passage of time throughout the book -- about 2 years with a little epilogue moment at the end. It was super interesting to see the author work in updates about previous chapter's characters from the current chapter's character's perspective. There's a lot of mentions of homophobia - since that's the central plot point - but primarily the book has as hopeful view of changing opinions.
