Compulsively readable but felt like it only scratched the surface of each character and storyline.

I thought that everything about this book was phenomenal and I absolutely whizzed through it. BUT, I began to get totally annoyed at the way that every POV ended on a 'clifhanger' and had no resolution. Only for us to get cringe sneak peaks and a ten years later into their life.

I still engaged with all the characters and would love to read more from the author. I feel like her writing would be great in a a traditional format rather than the individual POVs.

I listened to the audiobook and really enjoyed the different voices used for each character. There were a lot of names though so I got a bit lost with who was who. All in all though, a captivating way of moving the story along via different narrators. A heartbreaking and hopeful set of (LGBTQ+ themed) stories exploring acceptance, friendship, and starting over.

Why yes I did read this book in a day :) Told from varying perspectives, sexualities, and genders, this is a book about the town of Big Burr coined the most homophobic town in the U.S. and a queer task force that moves in to shake things up and make it a less horrible place. I found myself saying "oh this character is just like so and so" and "oh this character reminds me of this person" which I loved because that made them seem so real. This book is witty, relatable, and queer as hell. In the styles harkening back to Armistead Maupin and Alan Hollinghurst, this is a perfect novel to start of Pride Month!

Was listening as an audiobook. There are no spoilers to be had. I write a lot of my reviews as haikus to be fun, but I need to admonish anyone from reading this. A ton of characters are introduced, maybe 2 or 3 are developed....and then it ends with new characters introducing themselves.
