Words fail in describing these books. I read nearly every book L.M. Montgomery wrote when in high school, starting with the Anne series. She is my kindred spirit. =)

It is hard to decide which series is more beloved...Emily of [b:New Moon|49041|New Moon (The Twilight Saga, Book 2)|Stephenie Meyer|http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/414jgcy2FAL._SL75_.jpg|3203964] or Ann of Green Gables.???

The first 2 books were great. After that they gradually got more boring with rainbow valley being the most boring for me but it ended with Rilla of Ingleside being just as great as the first 2 books.

How can you not fall in love with Anne, with an E, and her red hair. Anne was such a character, with an imagination that ran wild. I really related to her then and even now. I had/have too many imaginary friends, I had/have too many preconceived notions about life, and I have a quick temper and don’t hold my tongue. The author really wrote the books so beautifully, and (spoiler) every time I read about Matthew’s death, I cry my eyes out.

Ahhh, I remember this series from when I was younger! I only remember the stories from books 1-3 though :(
