Another great book by Jodi! I cried a few times during this book instead of just at the end. Definitely hits you in the heart strings.

I haven't read Jodi Picoult in a while, but absolutely enjoyed this book. The spiritual elements were fascinating and while I usually don't care for a lot of magical realism, in this case I enjoyed them. The alternating voices were all very good. It made me consider my own opinions on the death penalty and the atonement. I'd really like to sit down with a bottle of wine and talk faith, Christianity, and the church with Picoult. I think she has some really interesting ideas. Enjoyed this book on a lot of levels - as a reader, a writer, and a person of faith.

I. Love. This. Book. A story of absolute, complete selflessness. This story moved me, and I absolutely love it.

This is only the 3rd Jodi Picoult novel I have read and whilst I enjoy her books they are usually pretty heavy subject matter so I tend to space them out. 'Change of Heart' was a great story and as usual for Jodi Picoult very thought provoking. Unfortunately I guessed the twist in the story within the first 10 pages. I was disappointed when I realised I was right!

I was hoping it would be like 'My Sister's Keeper' and take my breath away with an unexpected plot twist. In fact, I thought it was so predictable that most people will guess it long before it is revealed.
What was unexpected for me was the way in which the book was written, it was written mostly from the perspective of people close to the main characters rather than the main characters themselves. I was surprised by this because it didn't provoke the emotional response in me that I expected. In fact, it is the first Jodi Picoult that didn't make me cry, I think I actually sobbed during 'My Sister's Keeper'.

Nice easy read. Keeps you curious throughout though there are many unbelievable parts to it. Interesting how she tied this book to Keeping Faith.

Yikes. Can I get those hours of my life back? I started this book 9 months ago and put it down countless times! I haven’t read Stephen King’s “Green Mile” but I’ve seen the movie and this was downright plagiarism (poor attempt at that).
If I hadn’t set a book goal for the month I would have given up, instead I ended up skipping over the incessant religious chapters and lessons. If I wanted to read about Jesus, I’d pick up a Bible.
I’ve found her books to be very hit and miss and this is a huge miss. Do not waste your money or time.
If I could give it less than 1 star I would. Cause it was awful.
