This book made it very clear to me that I do NOT in fact, have a daddy kink.
The plot was wonderful, the characters were great, the sex was hot. But the “yes daddy”’s really got to me after a while.
I really did enjoy this book though!!!
The only other problem I can find was how a group of grown adults treated a high-school senior. It was appalling. Especially with a husband who is a principal- I was CRINGING at some of the shot they were saying and doing to poor Cal.

♥️ A smoking hot start to this book as it got my attention straight away. A beautiful story for Cal who'd had a hard time since his father went to prison leaving Cal on his own. Cal's health problems with his diabetes and lack of money puts his life in danger. Gideon made the amazing Daddy for Cal. Both characters have horrible and sad past which is all told in both POVs. Smoking hot sexy scenes included. A teacher and student relationship with some added dramas from school and elsewhere. wow I loved the ending of this as it all happens for a HEA finish. This author was a first read for me and I loved it.

Callum 19 was desperate for things to work out with Gideon although he hasn't meet Daddy yet. He needed money bad but didn't have a clue what's ahead of him.

This was an inventive, if slightly unrealistic way, to turn my brain off. A decent time.

Generally, my issue with Daddy books is that I struggle with the Daddy/Baby dynamics... but not in Disciplinary Action! I completely understood why Cal needed a Daddy and why Gideon needed a baby... it just made sense to me and the dynamics between these two absolutely worked for me.

Folks, this book isn't just Daddy hotness... Inside is an emotional page-turner that made me feel everything from rage to sadness to hot and bothered... My heart broke for Cal and what he was going through, and Gideon… Gideon has so many layers that you couldn’t help but love him more as each layer was revealed. The characters truly grow through the book both individually and together.

In short, I thoroughly enjoyed Disciplinary Action and wholeheartedly recommend it!

1st re-read: Loved this book just as much the second time around. Onley is one of my favorite m/m authors, and I adore daddy kink so this book is a perfect 5 stars from me. I love the dirty talk, the discipline, and how perfect of a Daddy Gideon is to Callum.

I do not read novels with high schoolers as a rule because even when they are of consenting age, I'm just not into the idea of high schoolers' romantic activities. But I love everything I've read from James so far, and I'm starting to love daddy books, so I made an exception just this once. I am so glad I did.

Good spicy read

I liked this book a lot. Cal and Gideon were hot together. The ending was rushed and left me wanting more, but overall, this was an enjoyable read.
