I enjoyed this book so much, had all the spice and feels along with a twist I did not see coming!! My heart just broke for everything Cal and Gideon went through prior to their relationship. It made me happy they found eachother. That twist was not anything I expected and it totally caught me off guard and I loved it

Spice: 🌶️🌶️🌶️.5/5
Format: ebook
This was addicting. So hard to put this down and go to sleep last night, and then I was dreaming about it.
Gideon and Cal are hot. I loved the way they met, I loved the way they came back into each other’s lives. I was obsessed with the hurt/comfort aspects of this book. There’s just something about a character turning to sex work to afford food/healthcare and the recipient falling for them and needing to take care of them that just does it for me. And a sweet stray puppy joining in on the love.
The spice was…whoa. If you don’t like Daddy kink, this is a definite no for you, I think they only had sex one time that wasn’t part of a scene. It was super steamy though with a ton of dirty talk.
I just wish this book were a bit longer or expounded more on certain things. There didn’t seem to be any resolution with like Bastian’s family or Gideon’s relationship with his friends, and just a lot of other topics. I think too much plot line was dedicated to the whole SAT scandal when I would’ve preferred to have more background on those, in my opinion, more important things.

I’m not even going to try composing a review for this one. I just know I enjoyed myself and that’s saying something seen as the Daddy dom/sub kink isn’t something I’m a big fan of.

always amazing
I’m not at all shocked when I love and Onley James book. I don’t think can can write anything bad. This story was so much more than I was expecting it to be. An age-gap, student/headmaster romance with a mystery twist. Callum and Gideon were absolutely perfect together. The way they cared for each other, I mean it was basically love at first sight. Daddy dom and a sweet little cinnamon roll.

this book was super cool in the first half but kind of lost me in the second half. this book was very fast-paced and lacked a depth i was hoping to feel especially given that it touches on some very heavy subjects. still a good read though.
