Probably one of my faves one yet. I think this one balanced the relationship and the b plot a lot more. I definitely love the more established nature of their relationship of knowing each other. I like that Archer is kinda a romantic lol. Finding out what Archer is actually doing is so cool and I really like hearing his pov. He's actually a really fascinating character. I adore Mac he's not what I expected but I love that he fits right in. Their relationship is probably one of my faves. I also love how they acknowledge Archer and Noah's relationship/friendship. It's really fucking sweet. The B plot or well the villian plot was fucking dark man. It was a lot but they got what they deserved for sure. I can't believe this book ends on a damn cliffhanger like that omg.

First off, I cannot believe this book ended like that and I have to wait to read the next one! Secondly, this book was so good! It had a slightly different vibe from the others because of the fact that we don't get to see Archer and Mac's first interaction but it was still amazing and that didn't take away from their relationship growing and me falling in love with them.  I was looking forward to reading this one because I wanted to see how the drunk brother saw things and I was not expecting what I got. So that made reading Archer's story so much better! This book had a couple of twists that just blew my mind. I didn't see them coming at all! I loved that! It was a real rollercoaster of a book but in the best way possible! Finally, this book introduced us to a new world that is explored in another series by Onley James and I cannot wait to visit those characters and see how they differ from the Necessary Evils characters.

Finally! We got Archer's story and it was not what I expected at all! I loved him and Mac so much! And the drunken shenanigans that happened were perfect! I hope we get a spin-off series about those involved in the government project! Also, I am dying to get my hands on Aiden and Thomas's book because I NEED to know what their story is!

Disliked - Forced myself to finish. The book was problematic for me in terms of connecting with both main characters Archer and Max AND the storyline. I kept reading because I was mildly curious at some points which kept pushing me to finish the book.

Archer and Mac spent most of book bumping uglies at expense of a storyline that was more or less a regurgitation of another book in the series.
