I will eventually finish this book, but it’s one I need to buy for note taking rather than listen to the audiobook

This contains what I think of as the standard alternative medicine cure for what ails you: cut a few major food groups (dairy, meat, grains, etc.), go low carb, cut all processed foods, cut artificial sweeteners, cut alcohol, cut caffeine, reduce your stress, heal your gut, reduce inflammation. It's all fine advice, but I was looking for more scientific information about menopause remedies and it doesn't really address that (there's a chapter at the end about perimenopause). I skimmed a lot of chapters that didn't pertain to me. It felt very different from Menopause Manifesto, which I recently finished. Manifesto is supper skeptical about fads and anything that doesn't have clear research behind it -- this seemed like more of the standard alternative theories.

As recommended by my PCP. Great big meh, as it felt like it was more about attitude than science. It felt like Cosmo more than MD/midwife.

This book has a lot of really great information but it’s nothing revolutionary. A lot of the things she discussed in the book were things I already knew but it is nice having all the information in one place where it’s easy to refer back to. The most exciting part for me is all the recipes in the back of the book!
