This series is my absolute favorite! I kept putting off reading this volume because I was saving it for a rainy day and it didn't disappoint. What I absolutely loved about this third book was how much Dom has settled into most of the dynamics and the Crux. I love his relationships with so many of the characters, but especially the way he's grown closer with Olbric and Arlon. Next volume is going to shake things up with Dom traveling for the first time, so I'm glad we got an entire volume of the relationships continuing to develop and work so well.

There are so many things I loved about this volume, but one that feels particularly worth mentioning (other than how amazing the smut was as always) os how amazing Olbric's gender journey in this book was. I love how this series deals with sexuality, polyamory, gender, and so much more. The worldbuilding is amazing, the plot is compelling, and every relationship dynamic has me eager to see where it goes next. 

I've read so many "BDSM" books that stay pretty vanilla or stick to the same big or well known kinks, so one of my favorite parts of this series is that there is a good chance of literally any kink showing up at some point. The magic system is the coolest and I need someone to talk about it with because truly the erotica isn't just hot but also deeply creative. So much thought has gone into how the magic and kink interacts and I always look forward to seeing the spell effects and figuring out how they tie back to the scene used to create them.

TLDR: If you are for some reason reading my book 3 review and haven't picjed up the series yet go read it!!! Every single chapter starts with a content warning for what kinks and stuff to expect! Now I'm off to go read all of Alethea Faust's patreon content.
