The Culling Trials 2 by Shannon Mayer, K.F. Breene

5.0

Kapow!

This is the one of the most action-packed books I've possibly ever read with this few pages. There are no useless facts, no boring rambly bits, no repetitious storylines - it's all just bam, bam, bam action from one scene to the next. And I loved it!

Our talented leading lady Ms. Johnson, aka Wild, is entertaining, powerful, and clever. Even though she seems to be a bit of a multitalent in that 'knows how to do everything' sort of way, she's still not annoying or too much of a know-it-all. She is a Real girl, with a capital R - she puts idiots in their rightful places (aka on their asses, in the corner, etc.), she can ride horses of all shapes and sizes, and she gives credit to her awesome crew members where credit is due.

I'm still a tad confused with the boys in Wild's life showing all sorts of different interest in her, but I'm sure there'll be a solution to the boy question later on, as well. Until then, more trials, please!

Will book #3 be the last book, I wonder? And if so, will we get to read about the actual academy (and not just the trials)?
