This was a relisten with Buddy reading with book Bestie, Stacy. I still feel the same way. I did the first time I read this book. I still get emotional with how Alexis was treated. Her father talks down to her. She is humiliated and abuse verbally by her ex. The way her mother just sits back and allows her father to berate her and treat her like a child when she has accomplished so much is really sad. I love the way Daniel treats her even though he’s 10 years younger he’s more of a man and he’s wiser than the pricks who are closest to her, and that includes who she thought of as her friends, not Bri, but the rest of the girls. 
Doug is one of my favorite characters. I just love him. Touching on stories of abuse, physical and verbal is something that I have experienced and I have seen with others so this touched my heart.
