The Way I Hate Him by Meghan Quinn
3.75
I won’t say that I didn’t enjoy the tension between Hattie and Hayes because I most certainly did. It made for some great chemistry in the bedroom. Especially leading up to that.
Let me just point out some of the things I did not enjoy in this particular book: I felt like Hattie was crying all the time if it wasn’t about her siblings, it was about Hayes. I have to chalk it up with her being the of
the family and she was just so used to getting all the attention from Cassidy.
Hayes is a different story. He was an asshole from the beginning. I think it would be beyond grumpy sunshine, but once he let his true feelings come through for Hattie he was much better and he started
to grow on me,but then his mom comes into town and he’s asshole all over again,
but that’s not what bothered me because I understand the reason why. What threw me off is him being surprised that Hattie was upset and had been crying over him after all the ugly things he had said to her. I’m like really dude you expect her to be all sunshine and roses after the way you treated her of course she was upset. Of course she got depressed. Of course she was crying, but he acted Surprised.
That’s what bumped down my rating, but I always love Meghan Quinn‘s books and if she makes me feel this way yelling at the characters, it’s a great read, but I am going to grade it to how it made me
I would still reread this but I did want to punch Hayes in the face. Lol
