Now, if you have been following me for a while, you know that I don't read a lot of contemporary romances. With that being said, as Irene puts it, hers are not typical to the genre. I absolutely loved this. I don't care if it's not what people expect. It was everything for me. I was here for the love at first sight, adventures, and an unexpected mystery! Their relationship is so playful and sexy but also filled with so much respect. I am in a happy relationship with a man who treats me like a queen, but Jackson...whew, he is a dream in a glass, and I would be sipping it all night long. My cheeks were red on so many occasions, and I had to take maybe two cold showers. The writing was fast-paced and flowed well. I think the humor is super niche, but if it's your thing, you will be giggling right along with Amanda, I know I was. We also get some insight into previous characters' romances and as someone who hasn't read them yet. I am very much excited to get to them. I am a sucker for professions of love, and Jackson be dishing them out like hotcakes. Who doesn't love a man slightly obsessed to the point he buys fresh Thistle to keep in his house to remind him of her smell. Can you say romantic gesture. If I haven't made this glaringly obvious, this was such a fast-paced spicy good time 5 stars! I am excited to be reading more from a new to me author!
