An enjoyable and important book. The early history is fascinating yet concise. The conciseness gives way to shallowness by the time the author starts covering modern technology, though. Sufficiently researched by whatever research team put in the work here but parts IV and V are over-edited, making obvious the author's distance from the subjects being covered despite the likelihood he engaged with them in real time. Seriously you get the idea he was more intimately familiar with schemes of the early 20th century than 21st century social media platforms.
