I started a reading frenzy since the pandemic started. One of my favorite books in the past was the Night Circus. I thought it would be hard to find another book that I liked as much. Then the Caraval series came and it was good and mesmerized me, although some of damsel in distress moments kind of irked me a bit. And now this series came along! I have to say this had a lot of the elements I loved about Night Circus. True internal conflicts, gray blurred lines. I felt so much of the characters struggles with their decisions and consequences. I also love that there are some strong female characters who don’t need a male to ”save” her.
