Sir Gawain and the Green Knight by Gawain Poet
adventurous

Though it was my first time reading a poem and I was skeptical, I thoroughly enjoyed this read.
Something about it was almost comforting and cosy, the descriptions flowed beautifully and before I knew it, I was halfway through the book.
The 1st and 4th Fitts were definitely my favourite as it was a little quicker paced, the middle dragged a little bit but not enough to put me off, it was still really well rounded and I think Simon Armitage did a great job with this translation.

"Why should I shy
away? If fate is kind
or cruel man still must try."
