2.0
It's sad and depressing and quite dark for the first eight and a half chapters. It doesn't get cozy as one would expect with Mr. Warbucks and Annie spending time together, it goes into other plot parts that are political and Mrs Hannigan's brother wanting to pretend that he is Annie's parent for the reward money. The heartwarming moments were too few,it wasn't relaxing at least the audiobook version, due to Annie shouting "Oh boy" or "oh daddy" all the time. The good parts in the ending were rushed. The narrator was pretty bad and about acceptable when put through an EQ to reduce the shrill voice. I skipped a few chapters because it was just so depressing and sad.Passed the time, but definitely not a book I'd read again,it had too few moments of Annie and the other orphans discovering new things like going to the movies...
