When I first started this book, the age gap felt like a lot for me. I’m usually not a fan of an uneven power dynamic with such a large age gap, but this book may just be my only exception. Gideon and Cal felt right for each other. The power was never really imbalanced. There was a lot of give and take in the relationship and it just worked.
This book is SPICY. Like fan yourself and do not read in public spicy. I was not ready for it. The spice is so well written and fit with the dynamic created by the characters. I think it represented a Dom-sub dynamic well and didn’t make it overblown or too much.
I picked up this book because I got it as a blind date. It’s not something I would normally reach for but I am so glad I did.
