Diary of a Welsh Swagman, 1869-1894 by Joseph Jenkins

I've had this book for so many years that I was looking forward to finally reading it. Turns out to be a bit dry. This Welshman traveled about Australia as a laborer and made daily entries, often including when he rose each day, the cost of things, the weather - and then he considered himself quite a poet as well. His grandson agreed and quite often praises the writing in little asides.

Didn't have much interest in reading the entire book, tho the author is occasionally entertaining in his take on news events.
