To Watch You Bleed by Jordon Greene

Well that was interesting. A little predictable, a little annoying at times, a lot bloody when it really got going. I can hear the horror fan in me screaming internally, "Why didn't you RUN???", but the "rational" side of me knows that if the character had, we wouldn't have a story. One could see this as a low budget indie horror film being played out in written word. My main hang-up about this book was the lack of real character development when it came to the antagonists. It would have made it more of a page turner (for me, at least), to know why 2 out of 3 killers are actually out to kill. Sure, some speculation is nice, but for the length that the book is, it would have fleshed out the story more than simply giving a "maybe this is why he's doing this" vibe.
