Happy Place by Emily Henry
4.0
emily henry is probably the best thing that happened to the romance genre (at least for me.) i can only repeat what i always say about her writing. that she uses the english language magically, and her style is exactly for me (which i only feel with her and ashley poston, no one else), and i always feel she writes these books exactly for me.
although, happy place is the one emily henry book that didnt hook me from the very beginning (it bought me only at the last 100 pages which was weird). i felt like i was thrown into an inside joke and i didnt have all the context i need to understand the jokes, the motives, the relationships. i still loved it, loved the maine setting (it has a special place in my heart), loved the hidden meaning, loved harriet and wyn's love.
what i also love about emily henry that the love relationships feel all consuming and so soulcrushing in the right way. i always wished to experience love exactly like that and i always imagined how love looks like just as she writes it.
she writes love the same way i always wanted to feel it.
