Ladycastle by Delilah S. Dawson

5.0

Ladycastle is part comic, part musical (?!), part genderbent Knight's Tale, and all awesome. Frankly, it's also suitable for most ages, as it's more focused on changing the status quo from physical combat (which hasn't worked so well for the king and all his men--they all died) to a community more focused on the individual strengths of its individuals. And the strengths are many in number: blacksmithing, chivalry- and etiquette-teaching, horticulturing, library-keeping, to name but a few. Please read this immediately and feel infinitely better about your day, this week, this presidency.
