Wolf in the Snow by Matthew Cordell
4.0
Love this almost-wordless (besides onomatopoeia) tale of a lost young protagonist who meets an equally lost wolf pup. I really like that the visual narrative starts before the title page, then continues after. I also really like the color associations: the red of the protag's jacket reminds me both of LRRH and Peter from THE SNOWY DAY, and I'm so glad that the parents were associated with green and yellow, which are so much less gender-fraught.
