Keats's Odes: A Lover's Discourse by Anahid Nersessian
2.0
Hmmmmmm… parts of this were very helpful and interesting but I didn’t get a real sense of the authors love of Keats and disagreed with some of the connections and ideas given about the poetry. Sometimes it felt unbalanced and a tiny bit too forcefully argued from a modern day perspective. I do understand that some people might like this, but I didn’t enjoy that so much. Each chapter had good parts that I enjoyed but was left feeling a bit lack lustre by the end of each chapter.
It felt a little too much about the author and not enough about Keats and the era he was writing in.
