3.75

It’s a 3.75. This was my first reread and I cannot believe how I can still both love all of these characters so much and also know that none of them have any critical thinking skills what so ever. I love them. They are idiots.

Idk maybe my expectations were too high? Short Stories are reallyyyy hit or miss with me. And I felt like a lot of these stories weren’t horror, they were just tense or sad. A few really attention grabbing ones, but otherwise just good.

I had no idea where this was going and I absolutely loved it. Very hopeful at the end. Also LOVED the relationships between the characters.

This is one of my favorite books of all time. I’m debating rereading it right now already.

They were completely right when they said this was American Psycho + Disneyland. Too much gore/SA for my taste BUT DEFINITELY INTERESTING.

This felt like a long short story with a cool concept. I wish it was either much shorter or much longer. However, my praise stops there. First, there’s like 6-10 words PER PAGE that are pretentious, big words you’ll need a dictionary for. It felt like it was a normal story that someone then sent through a thesaurus app to pick the most complicated version of each word. Secondly, I really didn’t care about any of the characters. I feel like they weren’t likable, relatable, or even very interesting.
Absolutely amazing concept and one of the coolest covers I’ve ever seen. But that’s it for me. 😅
