I liked the bones of this story but there are aspects of the writing that drove me crazy. I also felt like the ending was rushed. Spoilers below...
I absolutely hated that Emily only referred to her vagina as "my sex," pulled me out of the scene every time.
Also, I understand that once she came back from Cali that she needed to be all or nothing but it was a little crazy to me that there were no more discussions on how she was treated. Then he proposed so fast and then the epilogue only being 3 months later and they were planning the wedding. The whole book is like 6 months long and I just think that is a little nuts.

It started off bad but around 10% its getting slightly better, the rape "joke" was not funny at all, and if i have to read "his velvety voice" one more time i will cause chaos. I spoke too soon when i said that the book was getting better around 10% cause it ended up being just plain bad, I really didn't enjoy it, i disliked the writing style, the characters personalities were just awful and i am disappointed she forgave him in the end, not surprised but still slightly disappointed. Smut was ehh okay

I’m gonna be honest, Jameson? Not a fan. He was a dick the whole book and then at the end he wants to have a lightbulb moment of “oh maybe i should quit blaming her and blame myself, take accountability”, literally an ass until the last 20 pages

The Miles high club
The Miles high club - how could you not roll your eyes at that line alone.
Emily meets Jim and it turns into a crazy flight and a crazy night. One that neither one can get out of their
heads.
A year passes~
Emily is off to her new life in New York. She is getting situated into her new life. Cue the meeting with her head boss. Jim, only he is Mr. Jamison Miles.
It’s a good story. A little bit of who done it, some corporate espionage and a whole lot of love.

okay so.... this was steamy allright. the plot was okay, the chemistry was there. but the descriptions and the sentences that were not dialogues were so easy and simple. and frankly, the main character was kind of unlikeable. but i guess it was allright, it was a fast, feel good read with the office romance trope, which is a plus for certain.
