This was such a disappointing continuation of the series. It featured every minor aspect I disliked about the previous books and compiled them into an entire novel. The beginning felt sloppy, and while it started to straighten out further in, it wasn't great in my opinion. I could not stand the characters, especially our main gal Tate. I thought she was immature, selfish, and naïve. Her "poor me" and "I can fix him" attitude was incredibly irritating. Her character alone was the root of 85% of my problems with this book. That being said, I am still intrigued to see where the plot goes in the final book. It will be curious how I feel about it, considering the track record of the other five books.

HOLY SHIT!! This is the best of the series so far! I am absolutely loving the interconnected nature of each of these books and getting more and more kernels of this world. This dystopian series is frightening but so so so interesting woah. Tate and Wes have been my favorite couple of the 3 duologies, and sooooo much happens in this one that makes me rethink literally all of the characters that have appeared in multiple books. I’ll be thinking about this one for a long time. I am also so curious if this series is dystopian and futuristic in nature but meant to be metaphorically representative of current times. So excited for the final book!

Easy to read books that deals with trust, loss and relationship trauma.
As a reader you are kept from a few secrets which are revealed throughout the story.
