I liked the story, but the lower rating is because the backstory for this couple was created in a different book.

Their initial meeting and all that “getting to know each other” time was introduced in a different series (I think it was the Snow Sisters series).

I didn’t even get any flashbacks to help me recapture what happened with them. And apparently a lot happened. It sounds like there was quite a bit of a ramp up for them with their phone calls about someone’s wedding, and then meeting and spending some quality time together at the wedding. Then…..a big misunderstanding, which is where this story picks up.

So if the reader didn’t read the other series (which was about a completely different couple) then they missed all that backstory.

I felt like I entered their story in the middle and that was disappointing because I missed all those first tingles and zings that happen when a couple first meets.

I will continue on with the rest of the series, but I was disappointed this one didn’t capture Max and Treat’s full story from beginning to end.

I loved Treat and Max's story the first time around. It's the book that got me into reading Melissa Foster books, and the reason she is now one of my unicorn authors. That being said, at times I found the story/actions of the Hero and heroine slightly immature. I love their Reimagined story even more than I love the original. Its more mature, it feels more in-depth, it's just... more. A fantastic story made even more amazing and dimensional.

Fans of this series, you are seriously in for a good treat. Lovers At Heart has been re-imagined and given a fresh new look. This book can be read as a stand-alone and can be enjoyed by new and old readers alike. Melissa Foster has breathed new life into a familiar story while still delivering the swoon that we’ve all come to know and enjoy…

Told from dual points of view, Lovers At Heart follows the story of Max and Treat. From the moment I met these two, I was dying to know what could possibly gone wrong. The sparks and chemistry will still there, like it was their first meeting. But, just like with any new relationships, the foundation hasn’t been built yet, so misunderstandings or a wrong impression have the power to make a mess of things. But, I had a feeling about Max and Treat. They were so good together that I just knew their story couldn’t be over. It was a joy watching these two trying to figure things out and it was a lot of fun seeing how this series began.

Lovers At Heart was a terrific read from beginning to end. I loved spending the day getting lost in Max and Treat. Their story made me swoon, fall in love and believe in second chances.

*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*

I LOVE the Bradens. They're smart, sweet, sexy and almost too good to be true. This story shows a very human side to Treat, and it's a great read. Max is the perfect heroine - smart, sassy, who knows what she wants and refuses to take anything less. Treat has his work cut out to get to her very guarded heart, but their journey together is heartwarming and will leave you breathless.

I loved the story and characters but the writing drove me nuts! Way over the top enough to make you cringe!

Lovers at Heart is book 4 of the Love in Blooms series and I have to say WOW I am loving the series. Danica and Kayley are not the main characters in Lovers at Heart, this book is all about Max Armstrong and Treat Braden. They met briefly at Danica and Kayley’s wedding, there was sexual tension oozing from them both but one look killed it. Here we are six months or so later, Max still working with Chaz and it is time for the Film Festival. Treat visits his father’s ranch and also visits the festival only to see a woman standing on her car, he looks at her more indepth and realises it is Max his heart pounds, Max spots Treat her heart pounds, they are so attracted to each other it is unreal but Max will not be hurt again and tries to avoid Treat.
They do eventually meet up and their sexual tension is eased but with Max not having been in a relationship since her ex years ago and it was a bad one.Treat never having loved a woman, and demons in both their closets they both set about work through those but not together.

I really wanted to reach into the book and bang Treat and Max’s heads together, it was so obvious they liked/loved each other but they were too scared to do anything about it. When Fate lends a hand I thought yes but that was short lived.
I loved getting to know the Braden family, all Treat’s brothers, his sister and father they all loved each other so much and you could feel it just by reading the book.
None of the brothers or the sister are married or even seeing anyone ‘exclusively’ so I hope to get to know them much better in the future books.
Love, Fear, Drama, Will They? Won’t They? It kept me hooked and I loved reading it, especially the steamy scenes ;)

Absolutely Brilliant series!

This book stinks! I was so done with Max and her petulant and spoiled ways. She was so wishy-washy that I could not fathom why Treat even wanted her. She jumped to conclusions frequently, it was no wonder she wasn't ready for the big girl leagues in relationships. Treat was too good for her. And I felt he went way over, above and beyond to make it up to this brat over a stupid look. After reading another of this author's book, which was extremely good. It's sad to say that this one left a bad taste in my mouth, Hated it!

This was a great romance, though a bit exhausting. I will admit I wanted to reach in and slap the heroine a time or two, but she had her reasons for being crazy. Overall, very hot hero and a smart and sexy heroine too. A great love story from beginning to end.
