Absolutely fascinating. This book changed my understanding of the earth that we inhabit, and left me in a state of reverence.

Selles raamatus oli mitu ilusat mõtet inimeste ja looduse seotuse kohta, kuid mulle ei meeldinud see raamat üldse. Kui ma oleks seda kuulanud jutustusena kas audioraamatu või taskuhäälinguna, oleks kogemus olnud arvatavasti täiesti teine.

This was a reread of an older Hogan essay collection (1995). It's not my favorite Hogan and, tbh, it hasn't aged terribly well. There are some beautiful passages, but some concerns and viewpoints seem dated. In many places, it doesn't sound like what I think of as Hogan's voice. Too much Loren Eisley and similar folks for my tastes. If I decided to part with any of my Hogan books, this would likely be the first to go...
