I loved it! Epilogue tear up. This was super cute. Enjoyed every bit of it.
Canadian Boyfriend by Jenny Holiday

I wanted to love this book so bad! I really loved the idea of a teen girl who meet a guy and make him up in her head as her fake boyfriend for years when she only met him once.
A couple of things that got me through the book was the narration. I listened to this through audible, and I loved both the female and the male narrators. The other is the deep topics eating disorders, emotional abuse… Etc. and it was done well. That is what kept me invested in the book.
I was so done with Aurora calling Mike’s full name throughout this entire book. I get it when she’s saying “my Canadian Boyfriend “ when writing in her diary/journal because she’s a teen and she doesn’t have a name but when she meets Mike and when talking about him Mike Martin over and over…too much.
I’m also not a huge fan of third act breakups but they don’t bother me that much. Just depends on the reason and I don’t feel like Mike had a valid reason to be angry about a teen girl journal and I don’t think that Aurora even explained herself well enough.
This was just OK for me.

This was a buddy read and listen and OMG we had an amazing time! We absolutely loved the off-campus series so getting back into that world with Briar U brought back so many wonderful memories from the first series.
Fitzy finally gets his book and he gets with Mr. player himself, Dean’s sister. And boy or boy is she a spitfire! I love Summer and Brenna her new BFF. The cameos from previous characters always love when they pop in in a book.
So many things you can relate to in this book the way Ella touched on dyslexia and ADHD and also trauma from a divorce and SA. It was all done so well and you still had your lighthearted moments between Fitzy and Summer and of course Mike Hollis you cannot forget Mike Hollis because he was stealing the show!
I was a little sad that the Hunter situation did not get resolved, but maybe we will get some resolution in books 2,3 or 4?

Before I Let Go by Kennedy Ryan

I don’t know why I waited so long to read books written by Kennedy Ryan. Every time I read her books, I go through an emotional roller coaster. I always love the characters and the story she tells feel so real. I cry when they cry. I hurt when they hurt. They become my friends, my family.
Her stories are super addictive. This story is about love, having big dreams, losing your way from each other, thinking you can move on, working through so much hurt just to try to find each other again in the end.
Yasmen and Josiah had a beautiful dream to be together forever. Have a family have a business together, and they start off that way, but after some unexpected tragedy, they decide to divorce. They have two kids. They are coparenting. Both tried to go on dates and try to move on, but they still have so much love for each other. They just have a hard time getting past the hurt.
People don’t understand how important it is to have someone to talk to to be able to go to a therapist and not feel like your weak.
I loved it so much. I don’t know. I have so many things to say about this book and I can’t wait to continue on in the series.

This was part of the Nyaxia world, I didn’t want it to end. Lilith and Vale. Her sass and his grumpiness was great tension and chemistry!
I don’t know what role they have in book 2, but I can’t wait!

This book reminded me so much of a show that I used to watch called Unreal that had the exact same premise, which is why I loved this book.
Of course, because it was a book it was a lot more fast paced but it still had very cute moments. The drama was there. We don’t get to the spicy scene until a little bit past the middle of the book, (holy smokes the pantry scene was hot) but there is a lot of tension and chemistry that has you wanting more and I did. I wanted this to be longer. I wanted more from the characters but it was still a great cute read.
Not that something like this couldn’t happen, but what made it super unrealistic was the way the contestants reacted everything was super sweet and nice but I still definitely enjoyed it.
Is this realistic… Absolutely not but it was fun.
Were there any emotional moments… Yes, I felt there were some emotional moments between the Sosa family. Callie doesn’t come from money and doesn’t feel like she deserves someone like Sebastian.
Could this book be longer… yes I think I would’ve liked more rendezvous hiding because the thought of being caught elevates the tension.
Would I recommend it… Yes, it is a great pallet cleanser.

I was hoping to love this a lot more. I feel like there was a lot going on between Callum being targeted by the school, the school running super shady. Maybe it was too much going on…I don’t know. It wasn’t what I expected for a Dom/Sub story.

read and listened to this book. Since I wasn’t a fan of book one I didn’t think I was going to love book 2, but I actually love this couple a lot more.
The emotions that I went through with Jennie and Garrett or more heartfelt. I could relate to them a lot more. I will say that in book 2, I liked Carter and Olivia‘s relationship a lot more than I did in their actual story. As a matter of fact, all the characters were a lot more tolerable except Cara is the same.
I don’t know if I like her so much she’s so in your business but instead of being helpful, I feel like she causes more problems… and maybe that’s not the case but that’s how it seems when she knows secrets which she didn’t tell her husband, but she poked at them and cause suspicions.
I think I teared up three or four times in this book. Jennie’s story and what she went through broke my heart. “NO MEANS NO”.
Garrett and his family’s story was sad.
All in all the way they developed a friendship first and it turned into love was beautiful.
I still was not excited about the female narrator but I was able to get through it.
I would recommend you read this book.

I Accidentally Hooked Up with a Vampire by Jessica Cage

I had such a great time with this book. I think it was better than the first one. I loved Rayna and Matice from book one but Whitney and her girlfriends Jackie and Lena and the hot AF Domino put this over the top!
Of course I love me a good vampire story but having friends like Jackie and Lena and a crazy demon cat makes for a bunch of laughs.
Whitney thought she was getting a promotion but she goes in to get fired. She’s an art collector. She had just gotten a new place beautiful furniture thinking she was getting this promotion so she puts on a fake face to go support her friend Lena, who is an author to go to an event where she meets this beautiful tall, sexy man named Domino.
The spice was so HOT!!! Omg! I am telling you guys if you have a book club of girlfriends get together grab your drinks and read this together and have a blast!
And if you have not read the first book, I accidentally summoned a demon go read that first. You don’t have to because these can be read as a standalone, but it’s so much more fun because the first couple does make an appearance in the second book.
I am enjoying the series and I hope to continue if she continues writing more of the Accidently series.

This is my first time reading a book by Sara Cate. It’s the rest of her books are written like this then I’m a fan! There is not one time that I didn’t love what was happening in this book!
Killian’s grumpiness and Sylvie’s fierceness! It was crazy enemy, two lovers and marriage of convenience gold! absolutely loved the banter between the two… there in Scotland, so Killian kept calling her a cow or a wench lol.
Although this was so funny and well written, the spice was so good! Yes, it was fire!
I was not ready for this book to end and I will say that I listened to this on Hoopla along with my e-book and the narrators were fantastic my only wish was that it would’ve been 10 times better if it was done in duet narration because these narrators were amazing!
I can’t wait to read more from this author !
